The Qantas story begins with
fragile biplanes carrying one
or two passengers in open
cockpits and progresses to
the latest Airbus 380s flying over 450
people half way around the world in
a day. In that time Qantas has become
widely regarded as the world’s leading
long distance airline.
Qantas operate 28 services every
week from the UK to Australia,
with daily flights to Hong Kong and
Bangkok and a twice daily service to
Singapore.
Being the national carrier, Qantas
cover more of Australia than any other
airline giving you access to more than
50 different Australian destinations.
Qantas is very excited to now have
the new A380 as part of its fleet of
aircraft.
The A380 is the largest and most
technologically advanced passenger
aircraft ever built. In working with
renowned Australian industrial designer
Marc Newson, Qantas has created a
superbly functional, stylish and
comfortable cabin environment that is
truly remarkable.
Qantas took delivery of the first
of its twenty A380s on the 19th of
September 2008 in Toulouse with the
first commercial flight taking place on
the 20th October from Melbourne to
Los Angeles. The first flight out of the
UK is currently scheduled to depart
for Sydney via Singapore in mid
January 2009.
Initially the A380 is scheduled to
fly three times a week from London via
Singapore to Sydney.
Qantas International
Premium Economy
onboard the new
A380 offers a new choice in
travel, providing space and comfort in the
privacy of a dedicated upper deck cabin.
Be delighted with the experience.
