Bamurru Plains is an
extraordinary wilderness
experience situated just
west of Kakadu National
Park on the coastal floodplains of the
Mary River delta in the top end of
Australia's Northern Territory.
One of Bamurru's main attractions
lies in the great abundance of birds
and other wildlife in the surrounding
floodplains and savannah woodland.
Guest accommodation is in nine
spacious and cool safari bungalows,
each with an ensuite bathroom and a
private viewing area overlooking the
surrounding wilderness. The lounge
area is the perfect place to relax; the
bar is well stocked, and at anytime of
the day you may help yourself to a
cold drink. Bamurru's chef prepares
delicious meals which are shared
around the dining table with your
fellow travellers, hosts and guides.
Lunch is often served on the deck,
perhaps a BBQ,
cooked as you
cool off in the
swimming pool
after a morning's
wildlife viewing.
Activities
include wetland
airboat trips,
river cruises,
guided bush walks and drives to view
the prolific wildlife.
